Most people wear our standard (6mm) backing comfortably. If your ears are thinner, or you find that your earrings are drooping, you may prefer a short (4mm) backing. Wanted to add another earring to my stack that paired with the classic hoops and these were perfect. I wasn't sure about mixing gold/silver but I think it looks great.
